I’m Still Me!

 I introduced myself once as:

“An Iraqi simple girl with complicated thoughts, still on the first step of the road. I guess there's much for me to learn.”

After 21 years, here is my check-in 

I’m still an Iraqi (even though I don’t have any valid document. But at heart, soul, thoughts, I truly am. Choice of food, love of heritage, and even transitional attire.

Simple? As complicated as my thought can get but I’m truly simple. My thoughts have never been clearer. 

“Still on the first step of the road”? I might have took many steps on various many roads, uncertain where these roads are taking me but I know for sure I’ve learnt a lot and the more I learn, I more I discover there’s much for me to learn.

Here I am. A mother of four, a wife, an artist, there are more achievements in my life than I could remember, on personal level and in the history of Canada (yes, but I’m humble). 

I’m honored to still be able to post in this little cozy den.
